AI Disclosure

AlgoTrace is an AI-powered product. The responses you receive in the chat, hints, DeepTrace analyses, and TraceCards are generated by artificial intelligence — specifically, large language model (LLM) APIs. You are interacting with an AI system whenever you use these features.

We comply with transparency obligations under Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), which requires that users are informed when they are interacting with an AI system. This disclosure fulfils that requirement.

We use third-party state-of-the-art LLM APIs to generate AI responses. When you send a message, your message and relevant context (problem details, chat history) are transmitted to these APIs over an encrypted connection.

These providers process your data as data processors under our instructions and in accordance with their own privacy terms. We do not control the internal model weights or training processes of these providers.

AI-generated content has inherent limitations. You should be aware that:

• ·AI responses may contain errors, logical flaws, or incorrect code.
• ·AI responses may reflect outdated information if the underlying model has a knowledge cutoff.
• ·The AI does not "understand" your code in the way a human would — it pattern-matches based on training data.
• ·AI hints and solutions are intended to guide your thinking, not to be copied verbatim.
• ·You should independently test and verify any code before submitting it.

AlgoTrace makes no warranty as to the accuracy, correctness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any AI-generated output.

We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Your chat messages and problem context are sent to LLM APIs solely to generate a response for you. They are not used by us or (to our knowledge) by our API providers to train models, beyond what is described in the respective provider's terms.

Your conversation history is stored on our servers to provide session continuity and is subject to our Privacy Policy.

Under EU Regulation 2024/1689 (the "AI Act", effective August 2024):

• ·AlgoTrace is classified as a General-Purpose AI application — we use LLM APIs to build an educational product.
• ·AlgoTrace is NOT a high-risk AI system. It does not make automated decisions that affect your legal rights, access to employment, credit, housing, education, or any other high-stakes outcome.
• ·AlgoTrace is NOT a prohibited AI system.
• ·Transparency obligations under Article 50 apply and are fulfilled by this disclosure and in-product notices.

AlgoTrace does not make any automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users. No AI feature in AlgoTrace affects your employment, creditworthiness, insurance, education access, or legal status. All decisions that affect your account (e.g. plan limits, suspension) are made by humans, not AI.

AI responses from AlgoTrace are for educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, or career advice. Do not rely solely on AI responses for any decision with real-world consequences.

If you encounter an AI response that is harmful, offensive, factually dangerous, or inappropriate, please report it to support@algotrace.tech. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
