Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines how you may and may not use the AlgoTrace Service. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violating this policy may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.

AlgoTrace is designed for:

• ·Personal study and practice of data structures and algorithms.
• ·Technical interview preparation.
• ·Learning algorithmic concepts and problem-solving techniques.
• ·Reviewing and understanding your own code.

You must not use AlgoTrace to:

• ·Submit AI-generated code or solutions as entirely your own in formal academic assessments, paid coding competitions, or any context where using AI tools is prohibited by the rules and you misrepresent the work as your own. (Using AlgoTrace as a study tool and then writing your own solution is fine.)
• ·Create multiple accounts to circumvent Free plan usage limits.
• ·Share, rent, sell, or transfer your account credentials to other people.
• ·Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or other tools to access or interact with the Service in a non-human manner.
• ·Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the Service's source code, AI system prompts, or proprietary logic.
• ·Use the Service to collect or compile data for a competing product or service.
• ·Use the Service to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI or machine learning models.
• ·Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any AlgoTrace system or network without prior written permission.
• ·Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or defeat any security mechanism of the Service.
• ·Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• ·Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.

When using AI-powered features, you are responsible for how you use and represent AI-generated outputs. AlgoTrace is a learning tool. Using it to genuinely understand and learn algorithms is the intended use. Presenting AI outputs as your own original work in contexts where this is dishonest or prohibited is a violation of this policy.

We handle violations as follows:

• ·First violation: written warning via email.
• ·Repeated or serious violation: temporary suspension (duration at our discretion).
• ·Severe or persistent violation: permanent account termination without refund.
• ·Illegal conduct: we reserve the right to report to relevant authorities.

We reserve the right to take immediate action (including suspension without prior notice) where we believe a violation poses a risk to other users, our systems, or the integrity of the Service.

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by emailing support@algotrace.tech within 14 days of the action. We will review and respond within 7 business days.
