Terms of Service

By accessing or using AlgoTrace (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and AlgoTrace.

AlgoTrace is an AI-powered learning tool for data structures and algorithms (DSA) practice. It is operated by an individual based in India. AlgoTrace is not a registered company; it is operated as an individual business (OPC).

You must be at least 13 years old to use AlgoTrace. If you are in the EU or EEA, you must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent where required by your local law.

• ·You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• ·You must not share your account with other people.
• ·You must promptly notify us at support@algotrace.tech of any unauthorised access to your account.
• ·You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• ·One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

AlgoTrace uses artificial intelligence to provide coding assistance. By using AI features, you acknowledge:

• ·AI responses may contain errors, outdated information, or incorrect code.
• ·AI responses are for learning and educational purposes only.
• ·You should independently verify any code or solution before using it.
• ·AI responses do not constitute professional, legal, financial, or career advice.
• ·AlgoTrace is not liable for decisions made based on AI outputs.

You must not use AlgoTrace to:

• ·Submit AI-generated solutions as your own in formal academic assessments, paid contests, or any context where AI assistance is prohibited and you misrepresent the work as entirely your own.
• ·Circumvent, exploit, or abuse rate limits, session limits, or any usage quotas.
• ·Share, sell, or transfer access to your account.
• ·Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service.
• ·Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract data, source code, or AI system prompts from the Service.
• ·Use the Service to train competing AI models.
• ·Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

• ·Free plan: available indefinitely with feature and usage limits.
• ·Pro and Max plans: monthly or annual subscriptions, billed in advance, automatically renewed.
• ·Current prices are listed at algotrace.tech/pricing.
• ·We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' prior notice to existing paid subscribers.
• ·You may cancel your subscription at any time from Account Settings. Access continues to the end of the current billing period.

• ·AlgoTrace and all Service content (interface, code, branding, documentation) are owned by us. Your use of the Service does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.
• ·You retain full ownership of all content you create (messages, code, notebooks, TraceBoards).
• ·You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.
• ·You must not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.

We strive to keep AlgoTrace available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the Service at any time. The free plan is provided without any uptime commitment. We will endeavour to notify paid subscribers in advance of planned significant downtime.

• ·We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without prior notice.
• ·You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.
• ·Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
• ·Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, and limitation of liability.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In such jurisdictions, these exclusions and limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. EU consumers retain all rights granted by mandatory local consumer protection law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

EU / EEA users: Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under EU or local consumer protection law. You may also contact your local consumer protection authority or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify users by email and update the "last updated" date above. For paid subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
